SpacePods Quick Start Guide

1 Starting SpacePods
1.1 Robots and Game Accessory Positions
1.1.1 Energy Port
Place the Energy Port in the middle of the playing field.
1.1.2 BaseStations
Ensure that each of the BaseStations are positioned at least 7 feet away to the left and right of the Energy Port.
1.1.3 UniHubs
Place UniHubs 1, 2 and 3 in a triangle formation around the Energy Port, minimum distance between the Energy Port and the UniHubs should be 4 feet.
1.1.4 SFX Hubs
Players can use either 1 or 2 UniHubs, and may choose where to put them on the playing field as long as they are at least 1 foot away from any other game accessory.
1.1.5 Robots
Place the robots directly in front of their BaseStations. If playing a 4 player game, place a robot in front of the BaseStation facing the opponents and another off to the side of the BaseStation.
1.1.6 Pod
Insert the yellow Pod into the Energy Port.
1.2 Hosting and Joining a Game
1.2.1 The Host
Players choose amongst themselves 1 player to be the Host for the game. That player then follows the following procedure.
· Press both the Left Trigger [LT] and the Right Trigger [RT] buttons.
· Scroll to the circled number 2 using the left drive button, and select it using RT
· Then scroll to game 5 using the left drive button and select it using RT
· Select Host on the next screen
· Wait for all the other players to join [indicated by the LEDs on the bottom of the remote, i.e. if two players are playing 2 LEDs should be on and if 4 players are playing 4 LEDs should be on]
· Once all the players have joined the game press RT to begin the countdown and start the game.
1.2.2 Joining a Game
Players joining a game that is already hosted should follow the following procedure.
· Press and hold both the Left Trigger [LT] and Right Trigger [RT] buttons until their screen shows that they are in a team and “Wait” is showing in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
· Players are assigned to their teams based on their robot’s positions on the playing field. A robot next to the Host will join Team 1 and robots on the other side of the playing field will join Team 2.
