At robonicrowd, the Cornwall Hill College Robotic Gaming Club, we use the Colours game to rank the best players.
1 Check that your slide in card on the remote control console has 01 in the top right hand corner on the game card.
2 Press both front buttons on your remote control console.
(You will get 2 empty boxes with flashing LT & RT)
3 Press right front button twice.
4 Watch a four second countdown start with four beeps. Your game number displayed on the LED screen on the remote control console should also read 01
5 NB! Just before the game starts your robots light on the top of the robot should be the same as the light on top of your base station.
6 On your remote control console a green, yellow or red light will flash in the "colours available box"
7 Drive your robot to the flat round shape disk called a "unihub" of the same colour as the flashing light on the remote control console.
8 If the flashing colour on your remote control console has been successfully picked up from the unihub, it will be displayed as a solid colour in the colours loaded box and the robot will spin around.
9 Drive the robot to the flat hexagonal disk with two arrows on each side called an "SFX hub"
10 If the robot sucessfully loads the colour in the SFX hub it will spin around.
11 You will now restart the colour load and unload process again (Points 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10)
12 After you have picked up and loaded 3 colours successfully you will go on to level 2
(Now it gets a bit more difficult as you will have to pick up two pick up two clours in sequence/order and load it at the SFX hub. A further hurdle is that you will have to shoot your base station when the base station light flashes otherwise you will not be able to load your colour on the SFX hub.) You shoot the base station by tapping the right front button on your remote control console...the robot will auto aim and shoot automatically.
13 After you have done three level 2 missions, you will go onto Level 3.
(You now have to shoot the base station but will not receive aiming assistance.)
14 All games are six minutes long.
